CPLF is on the lookout for a volunteer book club leader to run our weekly Afternoon Reading sessions. If you're all about making a positive impact in the community while gaining valuable experience, we want to hear from you!

Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to lead weekly book club sessions in our new sensory room on Monday’s 1:00pm for our clients with disabilities. As a book club leader, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for reading and create an enjoyable and engaging experience for participants.

Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF) is a charitable organization supporting people with disabilities at work, at home, and in the community. Since our establishment in 1989, we’ve been committed to creating an inclusive community where individuals with disabilities achieve independence, fulfillment, and autonomy.

Duties and Responsibilities

This role involves demonstrating patience and understanding in the following duties:

  • Selecting accessible reading material for participants
  • Facilitating inclusive discussions 

Job Requirements

  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to commute to our office location
