Below are specific client-centred job positions CPLF is currently hiring for:

Casual Support Worker

We are always looking for casual support staff to support clients with a range of needs, from very independent to very dependent. Not to worry, we won’t put you in position that makes you feel uncomfortable and you can always decline shifts.

 


 Live Out Supportive Roommate

CPLF is currently seeking a Live Out Supportive Roommate that will live in the client’s home and support an adult male who suffered a head injury accident. The home is located in SW Calgary. The client has a pet dog. Supports would be responsible to teach/encourage independent living skills. (i.e.: cooking, cleaning and household maintenance).

The ideal candidate; Will be responsible to assist individual with home living activities, administering medication and ensuring the safety and wellness of the individual. Required to provide companionship as well as promote community inclusion. Should have a Canadian cultural background and able to communicate well in English.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Implement the activities outlined in the Individual Service Plan.

-Closely follow agency Philosophy and Values in all aspects of service delivery.

-Attend monthly support team meetings, bringing forward information or concerns regarding the individual clients’ service..

-Assist with and/or accompany individuals to appointments as required.

-Ensure that the individuals’ health, safety, and wellbeing are maintained at all times.

-Keep daily logs and documentation of activities.

-Assist with and/or accompany individuals to appointments as required.

-Assist the individual in any area they may require assistance in.

-Any other duties relevant to the position and individual’s needs as may be required.

Other Benefits:

– Staff will have the support of our Complex Needs Coordinator, Case Manager, Support Staff, and our in-house Psychologist.

– Contractors receive subsidized rates for in-house training.

Job Specifics:

-Candidates must have clean police clearance.

-Must have a vehicle available for work.
