Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF) is a charitable organization supporting people with disabilities at work, at home, and in the community. Since our establishment in 1989, we’ve been committed to creating an inclusive community where individuals with disabilities achieve independence, fulfillment, and autonomy.
This position is in the applicants home, not in the clients home. The home must have lifts and transfers to be wheelchair accessible, must not have children, and have minimal noise as client is affected by noise. The ideal candidate:
Will be responsible to assist the individual with home living activities, administering medication and ensuring the safety and wellness of the individual. The Respite Support Home provider will be required to support her with feeding, bathing, and toileting.
Is required to provide companionship as well as promote community inclusion.
Will maintain the home and the individual’s living space and provide healthy meals that are accommodated to his disability.
Should have experience in working with medically complex needs individuals
Should be fluent in English and able to complete detailed forms/documentation
