Tammy’s journey as Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation’s very first Ambassador goes beyond just a title – it’s about advocacy, representation, and breaking down barriers. Tammy will be sharing her life, showing her experiences, struggles, and triumphs as she is supported by CPLF in Calgary. Through her storytelling and candid insights, Tammy will shed light on the everyday realities faced by individuals like herself, showcasing the resilience, strength, and determination that define their journeys. From navigating challenges to celebrating milestones, her narrative will serve as a powerful reminder of the value and potential within every individual, regardless of ability.
Tammy has been a long time supported individual of CPLF for over 5 years. She enjoys activities like bowling, art, music, and baking. Since moving from her home city of Toronto, Tammy has found immense joy with CPLF’s support in Calgary. With respite assistance, a supportive roommate, day support, and an exceptional Case Manager, Tammy describes the past year as one of her best. Her desire to contribute, represent her fellow clients, and be part of the non-profit’s ongoing success is truly inspiring.
As an advocate and ambassador for disabled people, Tammy will use her platform to amplify voices, raise awareness, and advocate for greater inclusivity and accessibility in our communities. By sharing her story, she hopes to inspire understanding, empathy, and positive change, ultimately working towards a more inclusive society for all. CPLF’s collaboration with Tammy embodies the spirit of empowerment and advocacy, showcasing the transformative impact of community support in enabling individuals to thrive and make meaningful contributions to the world around them.
