Are you someone who finds joy in helping others thrive? Do you have a wheelchair access home and want to open your doors to someone who could truly benefit from your support?

At Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF), we’re searching for a caring and committed individual to join us as a Supportive Roommate. This unique contract role allows you to provide a safe and welcoming home environment for an adult with a disability — while also offering daily living support, encouragement, and a strong sense of belonging.

💫 What You’ll Be Doing

As a Supportive Roommate, you’ll share your home and your time with someone who needs a bit of extra support to thrive. You’ll:

Support with daily living, social activities, and relationship building.
Help foster independence, personal growth, and confidence.
Offer mental health and behavioral support as needed.
Collaborate with family members, managers, and the wider support team.

🛑 Note: A home inspection will be conducted to ensure your space is a good fit before moving forward in the process.

Location: Your home — in-person support
Type: Contract, Full-time

🧠 You’re a Great Fit If You

Have a wheelchair access home
Are patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic individual with a desire to support others.
Own a reliable vehicle and hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license – $2 million in third-party liability vehicle insurance
Have (or are willing to obtain within 3 months) CPR & First Aid (Level C) certification.
General Commercial Liability Insurance
Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Check (within the past 2 years)
