Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respite Worker to join our CPLF team!

As a Respite Worker, you will work directly with an adult male with a disability who enjoys swimming, bowling, and hockey 🙂 Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF) Support Workers facilitate participation in recreational and social activities, support personal growth and community involvement, and promote the overall well-being of people with disabilities.

Job Details

Pay: CA$225.00 per day

Location: Calgary

Schedule: 4 days per month (typically on weekends)

Job Requirements

Police Clearance with a Vulnerable Sector Check (within the past two years)
Must be an empathetic and patient individual
Experience working in the field is an asset
A reliable vehicle and valid Class 5 driver’s licence
If hired, $2 million in third-party liability vehicle insurance is required
Valid First Aid (Level C) certification is required within three months of hiring
If hired, General Commercial Liability Insurance is required
Medication Administration Training, Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training, Abuse Protocol Training, and Positive Behaviour Support Training will be provided at cost.

Please Note

The client cannot be accommodated in a basement; a room on the main level or upstairs is required.
No minors can be present in the home.
The home cannot be located near any known schools, daycares, parks, etc.
A home inspection is required as part of the application process.
