Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respite Worker to join our CPLF team!
 
As a Respite Worker, you will work directly with an adult male with a disability who enjoys swimming, bowling, and hockey 🙂 Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF) Support Workers facilitate participation in recreational and social activities, support personal growth and community involvement, and promote the overall well-being of people with disabilities.

Job Details

Pay: CA$225.00 per day
Location: Calgary
Schedule: 4 days per month (typically on weekends)
Employment Type: Contract

Job Requirements

  • Police Clearance with a Vulnerable Sector Check (within the past two years)
  • Must be an empathetic and patient individual
  • Experience working in the field is an asset
  • A reliable vehicle and valid Class 5 driver’s licence
  • If hired, $2 million in third-party liability vehicle insurance is required
  • Valid First Aid (Level C) certification is required within three months of hiring
  • If hired, General Commercial Liability Insurance is required
  • Medication Administration Training, Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training, Abuse Protocol Training, and Positive Behaviour Support Training will be provided at cost.

Please Note

  • The client cannot be accommodated in a basement; a room on the main level or upstairs is required.
  • No minors can be present in the home.
  • The home cannot be located near any known schools, daycares, parks, etc.
  • A home inspection is required as part of the application process.
