We provide quality support services focused on developing and enhancing a person's potential and quality of life using an individualized, client-centered approach whereby the needs of the individual are continuously assessed and support services are implemented around specific needs.

Residential

Offering full-time or part-time support in our individuals homes. Support can begin with finding our clients new homes for providing support in existing homes. Support staff can live with the individual or visit them.

Counselling for supported individuals in the comfort of their home or in a neutral location such as our offices.

Community Inclusion

Job Information

Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation is seeking a Female Community Rehabilitation Worker with mental health experience to provide support to a gentleman with a developmental disability, as well as mental health and behavioral concerns.

The successful candidate will provide support in several areas of daily living, community involvement, and relationship building, as well as mental health and behavioral support.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, including families, are required for this position.

 Qualifications: A Diploma or Degree in Disability Studies, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, along with 1 – 2 years of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities and aggressive behaviours who have a dual diagnosis or an equivalent combination. Preference will be given to people who have CPI training, Medication Administration Training and experience implementing a Support Plan.

Days: Monday to Thursday and Weekend shifts

Hours: 4pm-8pm (Not flexible) and 9am to 3pm on weekends

Rate of pay: $20.60/hour

We offer a supportive team environment, flexible hours (various shifts evenings, weekends, awake overnights and days), training, and competitive wages.
